One of the things I’ve discovered about photography is that you never know when the opportunity will present itself for a memorable image. The fog that morning was as thick as soup and this was nothing more than a 60 second skiff ride to shore with no “scenery.” I lifted my camera with one hand and snapped this single frame. Turned out to be one of my favorite photographs of the entire trip and a beautiful portrait of someone who’s become a dear friend.
