Excited to be back in Boston and spend the day with my friend Clément (Managing Director, Techstars Boston) and meet the 10 new companies in our latest Boston class. I first met Clément at a Techstars alum event last year. I was talking to a few founders when he walked in the room. It was a like a scene straight out of Cheers when Norm walks in. The whole energy in the room brightened up as people started gravitating towards him. Before even formally meeting him, I knew he was special.
I later learned that at the ripe old age of 21, Clément co-founded a company called docTrackr (Techstars ‘12) and built it from its inception in the south of France (where he was born), until the point where their technology was deployed to 99% of the Fortune 1000 in the US four years later when they were acquired by Intralink in 2014. Still in his mid twenties, he went on to become VP of Technology of Intralink before joining us here at Techstars.
As someone who’s done a little bit of endurance stuff, more impressive than any of that for me though is that Clément trained for a full Ironman competition last year and finished the 2017 Lake Placid event in 14 hours and 41 minutes, an incredible accomplishment!
